Welcome to Reception/Year 1/Year 2 Class!

Blossom Class are taught by Miss Deane and Mrs Gemmell.

Mrs Gemmell teaches on a Monday afternoon and Mrs Stevenson-Cocks is our PPA cover on a Tuesday afternoon.

Our PE days are:

What are we learning in Autumn Term 1?

Reception:

This term our learning is based around the topic 'All About Me'.

Year 1 and 2:

This term, we are learning about the United Kingdom in Geography.

In Science, we are learning about Materials.

In English, we are focussing on Grammar- nouns, verbs and conjunctions to join clauses together.

In Maths, we are looking at Addition and Subtraction.

Daily Phonics and Reading:

Alongside the daily phonics sessions, we will hear your child read so we please ask that reading records, are kept in their book bags and brought to school every day. Please also record any times you read with your child at home in their reading records. Please do not hesitate to ask a member of the team if you have any questions regarding this.

Our Little Wandle reading sessions happen Monday- Wednesday. This book will be sent home on a Wednesday to be read with you at home and returned on the following Monday. The children will receive stamps and then will receive dojos in return.
